I've been coming here for years and I'm always happy with the results. I usually get a pedicure and sometimes a manicure. Yes, I'm a guy and I have no problem coming here! I'd like to tell you a story about why Luc, his wife and his team are the best in the West Island. A few years ago, I had an ingrown toe nail. It was extremely painful. I waited months to see Dr. Billick at the Jewish General Hospital (Dr. Billick and Dr. Khanna are among the best dermatologists in Montreal). The doc did an "emergency little surgery" on my toe. Everything was fine since then. Recently, I felt a tiny bit of pain in my big toe again. I didn't say a word to Luc who was giving me a pedicure. He looked at it and immediately asked if I was in pain. It blew my mind. He worked on it for 10 minutes. Ten minutes on that one toe. The pain slowly went away and the nail healed itself. Saved me months of waiting for a doctor visit. Just outstanding. You'd be foolish not to come here. They're experienced and know what they're doing.
I originally came here to get medium-long lengthened coffin acrylics. I showed Luc a photo of the exact nails i wanted, and he did them very well. The downside? He filed them very thin. I got them done around 5 pm, and the very next day at around 8 am, 2 of the nails broke off! I've had acrylics many times before, and I have always been very careful with them - as I was with this pair. I was very disappointed and came back after school to get them fixed. This is where it actually went wrong. The lady who was replacing those 2 nails (not the one who greets you, the other one) gave me a disapproving look as I sat myself down. I explained the story and she began to fix it. She asked me to go pick a colour and I tried to remember which one I currently had one - unfortunately I picked the wrong shade. As she was doing my nails, her phone had run and she answered a face time call and started screaming into the phone!!! What the hell?! I sat there uncomfortable and she continued yelling at her phone! She made me sit there and wait for 10 minutes and she continued screaming. The result was 2 filed nails that looked completely different than my other ones. They were longer and completely square, while my other nails are rounded. Anyone who looks at my nails can tell they're different. And, they're lopsided! Thankfully, she did the refills for free, as the other day it had costed me $45. This experience has caused me to become extremely disappointed and angry, as my nails now look completely different. Go to this salon if you wish, but be careful.
I asked for acrylic coffin shaped nails which requires the tip of your nails to be longer. The nail tech cut the tips too short so when I told her I didnt like them she started yelling that shed have to take off the fake tips and reput new ones as if she were very busy (place was dead). Worst service ever. Literally disgusted with their attitude and sanitation. Only go here if you want garbage services and contaminated tools touching your cuticles.
Been going for over a year! love my nails every time! Ask for Luc he's the best :)
Dont come here unless you want to waste $40+ for nails that last less than 24 hours.
